Design and Implementation of Multilevel Inverters for Electric Vehicles

چکیده

The efficient and compact design of multilevel inverters (MLI) motivates in various applications such as solar PV electric vehicles (EV). This paper proposes a 53-Level inverter topology based on switched capacitor (SC) approach. number levels MLI is designed the cascade connection SC cells. cells are cascaded for implementing 17 33 output voltage. proposed structure straightforward easy to implement higher levels. As active switches less, driver circuits reduced. reduces device count, cost, size MLI. panels, along with perturb observe (P&O) algorithm, provide stable DC voltage boosted over link using single input multi-output converter (SIMO). tested experimentally under dynamic load variations sudden disturbances. represents an vehicle moving road conditions. A detailed comparison made terms gate boards, sources diodes component count factor. For 17-level, 33-level, 53-level MLI, simulation results verified experimental results, total harmonic distortion (THD) observed be same lower than 5% which IEEE standards. hardware prototype implemented laboratory variations, whereas simulations done MATLAB/Simulink.
